Autograph letter signed : London, to Melville Jameson, 1840 Sept. 1.

Sending £600 for Andrew Jameson, to be placed in Andrew's name provided he wills £500 to his sister Mary, if he should die first. He is happy to hear that Mr. and Mrs. Gray are enjoying their tour. "Miss Gray" has written to say that she is very well at Stratford. He is going abroad with his family because his son has "injured his health over study." With partial typed transcript.
